Larry Keltto’s Swing Thoughts: Short Golfers Are Winning Big Titles

My perception is that the average height of male professional golfers has been rising. I don’t know if that’s true, but I do know this is true — the last four majors (plus the last two Players) have been won by guys who are 6-0 or shorter:

2010 Players — Tim Clark, 5-7
2010 U.S. Open — Graeme McDowell, 5-11
2010 Open Championship — Louis Oosthuizen, 5-10
2010 PGA — Martin Kaymer, 6-0
2011 Masters — Charl Schwartzel, 5-11
2011 Players — K.J. Choi, 5-8
