Jason Dufner’s Golf Swing

JasonD
I didn’t know much about Jason Dufner prior to the 2011 PGA Championship, but what I found was a terrific golf swing, one that resembles those of the 1950s and 1960s. The beauty of Dufner’s swing, in my opinion, is its simplicity.

Characteristics of Jason Dufner’s Golf Swing

• Strong grip

• One-piece takeaway

• Left knee and right hip both are deep in the backswing

• Arms and shoulders are on the same plane, or very close

• Hands get deep on the backswing

• Full shoulder turn

• Short backswing — does not reach parallel

Ken Venturi, Matt Kuchar (movement of the left knee and right hip in the backswing, arms and shoulders on the same plane — or close to it — on the backswing, full shoulder turn)
